What is imposter Syndrome?

Imposter Syndrome is a psychological condition that is characterized by persistent doubt concerning one’s abilities or accomplishments accompanied by the fear of being exposed as a fraud despite evidence of one’s ongoing success. Webster Dictionary


Imposter syndrome is REAL! It will keep you from accomplishing your dreams if you let it, it will even let you quit before you even have a chance to disappoint. I really don’t like to give the enemy too much credit but he does play a part in that little voice in your head that tells you “you can’t” or that you’re “not worthy”  (cringe) & for the slightest moment we believe this… I’m GUILTY!

When do we stand in confidence, stepping into our God given gifts, talents and PURPOSE? when we become willing to overcome this

How To Overcome Imposter Syndrome And Gaining Confidence

  • Get out of your own way– I don’t like to give the enemy too much credit because truly, a lot of the times, the only obstacles that gets in our way is OURSELVES. yup,  ourselves!
  • Acknowledge that you are facing Imposter Syndrome and Speak up – recognizing this will allow you to step out of the place of denial and know that you are not alone! so many people are dealing with imposter syndrome not just you. Speaking on it allows you to take ownership of the situation NOT vice versa.
  • Know WHO you are and WHOSE you are – Separate WHO you are from HOW you feel. You might feel unworthy, undeserving, self doubt and this list goes on, but those are just feelings, not facts. Facts are what scripture says you are9 Powerful Affirmations Scripture Based
  • Surround yourself around like minded people– STRONG -minded people. The ones who are willing to silence the enemies tactics and walk in confidence alongside of you. The ones who believe in you even when its hard to believe in yourself!
  • Pray – Because it is only through God that we are able to seek breakthrough. The mountains you face can & will be moved by prayer! and be around those who pray with you and for you.
